Colony Mountain Community Club is solely volunteer run. It can be hard to know how to get involved so we’re working on ways to make this process more collaborative and visible. If you have ideas, please email the board at info@colonymtcc.org or use the form below.

We meet periodically to talk about community issues that impact us and work on improvements we would like to see. If you’re interested in being part of the in-person and online discussions, use the contact form below to let us know and we’ll add you to the group!
Help keep our roads clear
Most of our roads other than Colony Mountain Drive are privately owned by all of us. Help us keep the roads clear by blowing off leaves and other debris. Since not everyone is able to clear the roads on their property, help clear beyond your own property line if you’re able!
Help keep our roadside ditches clear
The roadside shoulders and ditches can fill up with branches, logs, and other debris, particularly after storms. Help keep water draining properly and roadsides clear for mowing by keeping ditches clear of debris. (As with the road clearing, if you’re able to help clear ditches beyond your property, that is welcome!)
Help keep water meters clear
Water meters are read by community volunteers twice a year (In January and July). Make sure that the area around your meter is clear for these meter readings (we’ll send out a notice ahead of time).
Ensure rain water drains into ditches and not the roadway
Most of our roads are privately owned by us and we have to pay to maintain them. Excessive water across the roads can lead to damage over time. Make note of where water may be building up and draining across the road instead of into the shoulders (this can especially happen at driveways and where debris has accumulated) and make sure ensure proper drainage is in place on your property. You can contact the board using the form below if you’d like resources about drainage.
Let the board know if you see water leaks or other water-related issues
If you see what seems to be a water leak or if you see anything else related to our water system that you think may need attention, email the board at info@colonymtcc.org or use the form below to let us know.
Other community projects
We have several other community project needs. If you’re interested in helping out with these, let us know using the contact form below and we’ll let you know as we organize dates for these projects. These projects include:
- installing radio read water meters
- Regrading the grounds around the booster pump station on Wood Road
- Installing fencing around the booster pump station on Wood Road
- Painting the storage shed at the community wellhouse
- Pressure washing the roof of the wellhouse and storage shed
